AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has declared its 2026 Class 12 exams, with the Science stream posting its highest pass percentage since 2016 and the General stream was 92.71% result which was 0.36% less as compared to 2025.The Science stream achieved 84.33% pass rate for regular students (excluding repeaters) — its best performance since 2015 when the pass rate was 83.51% in 2025.Morbi district led the Science stream’s extraordinary performance with 94.85% result, while Dahod recorded the lowest pass percentage — 57.44%. Among examination centres, Kumbhariya posted the highest result at 98.62% while Limbdi in Dahod recorded the lowest at 42.98%. The Science stream saw 193,678 of the 1,11,090 registered students taking the exams. Of the 93,678 regular candidates who took the exams cleared the HSc science examintion.For the General stream, 4,35,102 regular students took the exams and 4,03,362 cleared them. Four General stream centres —Tadva, Kotda, Kangvai and Prasnavada — achieved perfect 100% results, while Karath centre recorded the lowest result at 64.886%.The board conducted Class 10 and 12 examinations between in Feb and March with result announcements deliberately delayed, avoiding overlapping with the NEET exam held on Sunday. The state education minister announced the results for both streams on Monday.
